These three statistics will give you a fair idea of if you stand a chance at competing with your competition. If your main competitors are ranked in the top 1000 sites on alexa, and they get 100k hits a day and they have a PR score of 8/10, then maybe you might want to find some less cut throat competition. If you find some competitors with low traffic, page rank and low PR score, but they sell a fantastic product, then you might be in the money.

Forums Always always always stay in tune with what your customers are saying about the products you sell.
